*Keep America Beautiful Month

Please consider doing some form of community clean up or activities that focus on the care of planet earth.

NHAITC has lots of activities to celebrate America all month.


National Garden Month

Every school can have a garden no matter how much space is available. If you are an educator who wants to explore this call NHAITC for resources or log onto the National Gardening Associations website at .


Easter

Easter is celebrated by many people of different religions, a big focus of the day is often centered around food traditions, in particular sheep, making this a big agriculture day also.

National Pecan Month


Not something grown in NH but certainly one that many enjoy eating! The national AITC website has links to activities on pecans!


National Soy Food Month:

Many foods are now made with soy as an alternative to milk products or meat products. A crop that is very important to the economy of the US, soybeans are found in an amazing number of products. Learn more, call nhaitc for lesson plans and activities..



May is:

*Water Awareness Month


Without water nothing can grow or survive. Water is taken for granted by so many that it becomes critical to cover the subject of keeping our water clean and healthy. Contact AITC for resources on water studies.

The incredible, edible egg! Lots of resources to cover this perfect food, just contact us.

 

National Asparagus Month

Asparagus is one of the most nutritionally well-balanced vegetables in existence. It leads nearly all produce items in the wide array of nutrients it supplies in significant amounts for a healthy diet. There's lots to learn about this vegetable!

NH Sheep and Wool Festival

NHAITC will be there with our Wooly Wool Unit & Raffles!
Come experience the amazing, soft world of fibers and meet the many people who produce the fiber and meat that comes from Sheep, Llamas and other animals that produce fibers
. We'll have our new Wooly Wool Unit available for review and two great raffles, one for educators and one for kids, so please come and support the Sheep and Wool growers of NH along with NHAITC.
