A great time to enjoy the many wonderful Ag books available and help children feel what it's like to be in their natural world through books. Check out the ag website for ideas.

*National Thanksgiving Holiday

Coming to America was no small feat. The pilgrims relied on the Native Americans way with farming for their survival. A unit called "Coming to America" is available to educators to bring this part of history alive.

See what your class can do to stop hunger where you live. Everyone should enjoy the harvest, do your part to feed the hungry.


*Dec 12 National Poinsettia Day
NHAITC and the NH Plant Growers Association have just fnished a NH state aligned science unit that uses the Poinsettia. Please call for more information or to test pilot the unit.



*Dec 13 National Ice Cream Day

Who deosn't love ice cream whether it's winter or not! We have lots of fun activities and lessons that use ice cream as a way to teach science, nutrition and more!

*Dec. 17 National Maple Syrup Day

A true New England delicacy! We have a unit on maple sugaring or contact the NH Maple Producers Association for ideas on tours, visitors and more.


*Dec 19th Look For an Evergreen Tree Day


Farming isn't just crops, growing trees is big business in NH. Use this day to go outside and learn about evergreens, read up on their association with so many customs or contact the office and we'll provide video's and worksheets all about evergreens.
